Information technology has caught up with the world of pet care, benefitting both pet owners and their four-legged, furry friends. PetPenser is an intelligent food dispenser that can be operated from our smart phones. The prototype was developed by the creators, Yumeyasu, as a feed chute electronically opened by remote control. But this is the just first stage, as the purpose of their crowd-funding campaign is to take this new product through various stages of design and testing to arrive at its ultimate module.
In the development of the PetPenser, the crowd-funding contributors will be the boss, suggesting modification and adaptation as the project moves forward. But the fundamental components of this consumer-tech innovation are already in place: Master module with deposit and bowls (choose from several sizes); Ethernet/3G/Wi-Fi; Android and iPhone app; Webcam and Microphone.
